Propositions
  •  Proposition 98: Yes
  •  Proposition 99: No
Both 98 and 99 concern eminent domain.  98 is real reform while 99 is a "Trojan Horse" full of loop holes sponsored by those opposed to eminent domain reform.  99 has a provision that if it receives more votes for 98 then 98 is nullified.  Therefore it is very important to no only vote YES on 98 but also NO on 99.

JUDICIAL RACES:

Los Angeles Superior Court Positions:
  •  Office 4: Ralph W. Dau
  •  Office 69: Serena Raquel Murillo
  •  Office 72: Steven Simons
  •  Office 82: Mark Lee
  •  Office 84: Patrick Connelly
  •  Office 94: Eduard R. Abele [Lincoln Clubs endorsed Michael O'Gara]
  •  Office 95: Lance E. Winters
  •  Office 119: Jared D. Moses [RPLAC has endorsed Robert Davenport]
  •  Office 123: Kathleen Blanchard
  •  Office 125:  James Bianco
  •  Office 154: Michael V. Jesic
Judicial candidates are evaluated favorably if their philosophy is one of strict-constructionalism, that they believe the role of the judge is to interpret law not to legislate from the bench.  They are further evaluated based on the number and quality of endorsements they receive from strong law enforcement officials in the community.

ENDORSEMENTS:
The Beach Cities Republican Club only occasionally endorses in primaries where Republicans are running against Republicans.

We always unite behind the Republican nominee in any General Election.

Our current endorsements of the initiatives in the Governor's statewide reform Special Election are shown above.  Some initiatives were placed on the ballot which were not part of the Governor's reforms and are designed to undermine them.  We vote no on those.

Candidates Seeking endorsement:
If you would like the Beach Cities Republican Club to consider your candidacy for endorsement please complete and return the Endorsement Request Form (click to download & print) along with any other information you feel would help the Board and members make the right decision of endorsement.
