ANDY RAMIREZ serves as Chairman
of Friends of the Border Patrol, a 501(c)(3) incorporated non-profit
organization that was created to support the US Border Patrol, and defend
U.S. National Security. FBP was founded in August 2004, works with law
enforcement officials across the United States. FBP's Operation Border
Watch, launched on September 16, 2005 in Southern California. FBP is
reviewing other USBP Border Sectors for future operations, including the
border with Canada, our coastlines, and Puerto Rico. FBP in 2006 will
launch our FREEDOM (Free Electronic Domestic Observation and Monitoring)
System, based on the USBP's remote video surveillance (RVS) system. The
Border Patrol and other law enforcement agencies will have access to our
cameras 24/7, which is being provided to assist their efforts and increase
the safety for law enforcement officers and civilians.
Andy Ramirez had worked to defeat Sen. Gil Cedillo's driver's license for
illegal aliens bills (SB-1160, AB-2895, and SB-60). ANDY testified before
the CA State Senate, and campaigned extensively on TalkRadio, ensuring the
defeat of these bills. IN 2005, Andy was part of a delegation that
successfully lobbied Governor Schwarzenegger, which resulted in his
vetoing 2005's SB-60, and assisting California border residents with
wrong-way drivers. As Andy often states, "Citizens 5 - One Bill Gil - 0."
ANDY RAMIREZ remains dedicated to reforming the California State
Legislature, State Budget Process, and bringing accountability to
California Politics. In late-1997, ANDY authored the ballot measure, The
California Public Accountability (or CALPAC) Initiative. This measure was
the initiative version of "The California Legislative Reform Act of 1996",
introduced as SCA 31 in the Senate by then Senator Ray Haynes. Both
measures have been revised for a future time period. These measures sought
to make CA's State Government accountable to taxpayers and would have
saved millions of dollars annually.
ANDY has worked to eliminate expenses for Multiple Sclerosis patients'
costly medications, while reassessing qualifications for disability and
coverage for the disabled. In 2001, ANDY cut red tape for expensive
medications, and as a result, MS Patients in L.A. County now have access
to their essential medications without having to wait for state patient
benefit coverage approval or denial. ANDY himself was diagnosed with MS in
1990, and forced to retire from semi-pro ice hockey, where he was a
goalie.
ANDY RAMIREZ was nominated for the CA State Assembly, 60th District in
1994 and 1995, feuding with Speaker Willie Brown. ANDY built an excellent
record as a leader for political accountability, less government, perk
reduction, budget reforms, and preservation of the Second Amendment of the
U.S. Constitution.
ANDY attended Cal Poly Pomona, and Mt. San Antonio College, where he
studied psychology, political science, and minored in broadcast
communications. However, ANDY's degree comes from the school of hard
knocks after 15+ years of battling the debilitating disease Multiple
Sclerosis. |

Evan
Sayet
Political Commentator &
Satirist Comedian
For an Evening of unmatched
thought-provoking fun!!
"Evan Sayet explodes pernicious stereotypes with
refreshing humor that is simultaneously thought-provoking and
hilarious..." -- Michael Medved (Nationally
syndicated radio-host)
Evan Sayet has
written and/or produced in virtually every medium there is. Starting out
as a standup comic he was quickly spotted by David Letterman
and offered a spot on a special episode featuring young talent. Segueing
into writing, he was an integral part of the team that made “The
Arsenio Hall Show” the first late night program in thirty years
to give “The Tonight Show” a run for its money and then the very first
Creative Consultant on the highly respected “Politically Incorrect with
Bill Maher” (back when Maher was funny). After that Evan wrote and
produced the highest rated special in Discovery’s The Learning Channel’s
history (“The 70’s: From Bellbottoms to Boogie Shoes”), perfected the
book for a musical comedy, wrote a screenplay optioned by Penny Marshall
and even tried his hand at game shows – as the original writer of the
cult classic “Win Ben Stein’s Money.”
The latest twist in Evan’s
career came during the recent Presidential elections when he turned his
attention and skills towards convincing others of the greatness of America
and the need to reelect the President and stay the course in the Middle
East. In short time Evan was made Communications Director for Los
Angeles for President Bush, wrote a number of articles for
major conservative outlets, was asked to offer weekly commentary on KMJ
radio (an Infinity station) and began to deliver his lecture
“Regurgitating the Apple: How Modern Liberals ‘Think’” to an ever-growing
audience.
Evan is now one of the
Los Angeles area’s most in-demand speakers -- a political pundit
recognized as “brilliant” by Dennis Prager for his take on the
unique power of the Judeo-Christian culture and singled out by Rush
Limbaugh for his explanation of why Liberals lie. Evan has signed
with one of the country’s top speaker’s bureaus – Nationwide – and has
recently been booked at the highly prestigious Lincoln Clubs whose monthly
roster of speakers includes the likes of Ken Starr, former US Secretary of
the Treasury Rosario Marin, Ehud Danoch, Consul General of the State of
Israel and others of that intellectual heft and importance.
At around the same time,
Evan returned to his first love – standup comedy – only now with a
decidedly conservative twist. As the headliner of a night of
Conservative Comedy Evan calls his “Right to Laugh” tour Evan is
planning a series of one-nighters around the country and will soon produce
his first CD – “Funny, You Don’t Look Conservative.”
